WanderlustWanderlust means a kind of rebirth,Wanderlust by Erzahler
to live through some time in a new place on earth
'cos I find my self-worth in a positive memory.
Though I've made some, it's true,
they're outweighed by a few -
of family who've broken me,
of friends who've disowned me -
I can't pass by a landmark without memories reopening me.
So I flatten myself out, and I'll find a new route for the wind to blow me.
And I'll learn a new song, to sing as I'm gone with the wind, and the world below me.
When I land, I'll find myself standing in a place where nobody knows me.
And it's here where my mind will soar,
like a bird, on a breeze that's brought me fond memories before.

Wasting DarknessMr. Withersgut, a thin, balding man, trim and formally dressed, glanced at his timepiece idly, evidently proven to be far more interesting than the young man with the stubble before him, who was tinkering with a rumbling machine of moderate size. The mechanic slowed his movement, looked up to the thin man to analyze his current demeanor. Irritated. Not good. A slug of sweat slowly oozed down his temple to his jaw. "Sir, on the design table, this worked perfectly. I had several peers review my work; I don't know what --"

Lion loves life. Finding home. Finish up your petrichor, the drink of earth and rain. Leave your coat and walk away, and don't look back again. For when you walk the open land, the sun will bleach the sky. Your soul will sing and raindance. Your soul will never die. |
